I recently bought a Celi CD (CDAR2008) which contains Stravinsky's

Firebird. The recording was made with the Orchestra Simfonica di Torino

della RAI on October 17th 1969.

When I first listened to it I found it starngely short (I would have

said about 7 minutes). You can imagine that I was very much surprised

to find out (by looking on the CD's cover) that it really took 22 mins.

I felt in my head a disturbing question : "Where did 15 mins go ?"

This was for me the best possible proof of the relativity of time

wich I haven't ever experienced before (not even in a concert hall).

PS: Einstein once said :

"Put your hand on a hot stove for a minute. It will seem like an

hour. Stand near a beautiful girl for an hour. It will seem like a

minute. That's relativity" -- I think he got close.
